Thomas Alge has been involved with the Aarhus Convention in Austria right from the very beginning. The rights of the environmental movement and structures for a sustainable Austria are high on the environmental lawyer’s agenda.

Birgit Schmidhuber has been working as an environmental lawyer at ÖKOBÜRO since 2012. In recent years, she has been campaigning for strong environmental laws, especially at the European level.

An expert on Austrian nature conservation law, she loves to explore the forests and mountains – on foot, by bike and, most recently, with her son Oskar.

Mag.^a Viktoria Ritter

Environmental Lawyer, Law & Politics

As an environmental lawyer with experience in international law at OEKOBUERO, Viktoria Ritter primarily deals with issues of international and European law. She is particularly interested in climate protection law and the human rights aspects of environmental protection.

Outside of work, she enjoys singing in a choir or hiking in the mountains.

Mag.^a Marlene Schaffer

Environmental Lawyer, Law & Politics

Marlene Schaffer is an environmental lawyer at OEKOBUERO specializing in nature conservation, species protection and animal welfare law. Her goal is the effective implementation of European and national regulations for the protection of habitats and wild animals and plants.

Outside of work, she enjoys cuddling and playing with her dog Lilli, doing yoga and is a passionate board member of an animal rights association.

Caroline Krecké, MA Bsc

Sustainability & Communications

Caroline Krecké’s work is focused on the platform SDG Watch Austria and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. As an expert in text editing and translation, she also fine-tunes documents and social media posts.

In her free time, you can find her training with her floorball team, at a concert or enjoying a walk in the woods.

Amelie Ries, BA

Sustainability & Communications

Amelie Ries supports OEKOBUERO in the implementation of sustainability projects and events. As an expert in communication and graphic design, she creates and optimizes content for social media posts and the websites of ÖKOBÜRO and SDG Watch Austria.

After work, she can be found on her racing bike, in a café or browsing second-hand stores.

Dipl.-Ing. Peter Zwifl

Finance and Controlling

Peter Zwifl is OEKOBUERO's project controller and manages the finances. No matter how complicated the calculation, he always has a clear view and thrives when administrative process optimizations are on the agenda.

As soon as the thermals are right, Peter is flying high. Then he glides through the air as a budding paragliding instructor.

Konstantin Kraus, BSc BA

Communications & Media

As Communications Manager and Press Officer, Konstantin Kraus is responsible for OEKOBUERO's public image.

In his private life, he sings in a vocal ensemble and regularly enjoys the good views in the Alps.

Katharina Eggenweber, MA

Public Affairs

In her association work, Katharina Eggenweber campaigns for the interests of the environmental movement to be taken into account in political decisions.

In her free time, Katharina likes to relax by dancing.

Martina Schützenhöfer

Office Management

Martina supports the team in all matters, organizes and coordinates administrative processes and ensures that everyday office life runs smoothly.

In addition to her work, she is studying for a degree and in her free time she enjoys hiking and archery in the great outdoors.
